- 1984 CSc. (the Ph. D. equivalent) of mathematical cybernetics from the Institute of Computing, Academy of Sciences of (the former) USSR, Moscow, Russia
- 1976 RNDr. of numerical and approximative methods in mathematics from Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovakia
- 1974 master of science compatible degree in mathematics at Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovakia
